Adam McEniry, Senior ESG Advisor
Mr. Adam McEniry has 15 years international experience specializing in environmental, social and governance (ESG) management, and above ground risk assessment focused on responsible resource developments across Latin America. Adam served as a VP Corporate Affairs & Sustainability at First Majestic Silver Corporation (six operating mines, exploration projects) and Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for Gran Tierra Energy (with operations in Colombia, Peru and Brazil). Adam’s experience includes delivering ESG-related projects such as setting up community relations programs, producing a social and environmental baseline study, overseeing environment and permitting, as well as a traditional environmental knowledge (TEK) study for three copper development projects. He was the founding Executive Director of the Canada-Peru Chamber of Commerce, and Senior Corporate Affairs Officer at Vale Base Metals (formerly INCO), supported and managed government (legislative and regulatory) and public affairs issues, and stakeholder relationships. Adam’s holds a B.A. (Honours) in International Studies (Development and Economics Focus), York University, Toronto, Canada, an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, and a certificate in the resolution of social environmental conflicts from the Catholic University of Peru. Adam is currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate at Toronto Metropolitan University.
