Zakariya El Fatih, ESG, Sustainability & Engagement

Zakariya is an ESG and Sustainability professional with seven years of experience, including as an ESG Analyst and Auditor with Vigeo Eiris, an international provider of ESG research and services. Zakariya also headed the Sustainability and Change Management Department of Declic RSE, a Moroccan ESG/CSR and communication firm, and is the founder of Captain Brownie, providing gamification, engagement and change management advisory services.

In addition to contributing to several ESG reports and audits, mainly in heavy industry, food and beverages, and mining, Zakariya facilitated stakeholder dialogue with communication officers of the Government of Morocco; advised Cosumar (a sugar producer in Morocco)  and Crédit du Maroc (subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Group) regarding the establishment and operation of their charitable foundations, and taught principles of CSR strategies and frameworks of ESG reporting at prestigious institutes, such as the Moroccan Institute of Administration (IMA) and the Institute of Higher Education in Trade and Management (ISCAE).

Zakariya pursued his academic training mainly in France, receiving his MS in Renewable Energy, Sustainable Intelligent Systems from Université Savoie Mont Blanc, France, and an MEng in Energy, Building and Environment from the Polytech University Savoie, France. He also attended Lancaster University’s Environmental Center’s MSc program on Energy and Environment as part of an exchange program.

Zakariya is a Moroccan national, fluent in English, Arabic and French.
