Zoë Parr Kennaugh, Senior Social Advisor

Zoë has over 15 years of international experience across Africa (Botswana, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe) developing risk assessments, baseline studies, management systems and plans, gender, monitoring, evaluation, impact assessments, due diligence, audits, stakeholder engagement, indigenous peoples plans, social investments, resettlement plans and livelihood restoration, typically aligned with benchmarks such as the IFC Performance Standards. Her experience includes mining, agriculture, renewable and thermal power, infrastructure and tourism. Previously, Zoë served as a volunteer teacher in Tanzania, Projects Administrator and Research Assistant at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), London, UK, Project Director at Development in Nigeria, Community Development Manager and Acting ESMP Manager at United Cement Company of Nigeria, and Senior Social Scientist at Wardell Armstrong, UK. Zoë is a Co-director of Karunya Consulting, an advisory practice in Botswana, and holds an MSc in Anthropology and Ecology of Development from University College London, and a BSc (Hons) in Biology from Imperial College, London, UK. Zoë resides in Botswana.
