Elizabeth Freele, Social Performance Advisor

Ms. Elizabeth Freele has over 12 years of experience as a social performance and sustainability professional and is a Senior Prizma Associate. Her experience spans Africa, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas, including mining, agriculture, renewable energy, impact investing, circular economy and cleantech. Elizabeth built the sustainability function of Roxgold, a junior gold miner, and provided in-house corporate governance, thought leadership and advisory services to Teck Resources, a major mining company. As a GRI-certified consultant, Elizabeth has contributed to sustainability reporting and materiality assessment processes with companies such as Lundin Gold, Galiano Gold, NOVAGOLD, Dakota Gold Corp and Champion Iron. She holds an MBA from IE Business School, and Certificates in Sustainable Business Strategy (Harvard Business School), Dialogue for Community Engagement (Centre for Social Response) and Working Effectively with Indigenous Peoples (Indigenous Corporate Training), as well as a BA in Political Science and Global Development from Western University. Elizabeth speaks French and Spanish, and resides in Vancouver.
