Luisa Montes, Environmental Economist
Luisa has 25 years of experience as an environmental economist. She was part of the first economic analysis unit at the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources in Mexico, and the Director for Biodiversity, Bio Safety and Access to Natural Resources in the Ministry. Luisa participated in Prizma’s engagement to review the Mexican Wind Industry’s perspectives with regard to social risks and benefits sharing on behalf of the World Bank Group.
Luisa is the also the founder of Ecovalores which provides ESG rating for listed companies on the Sustainability Index of the Mexican Stock Exchange. She is currently working in the development of the sustainability and climate change risks and opportunities that Mexican companies and financial institutions will have to asses in order to contribute to the UN SGDs and the Nationally Determined Contributions of the Paris Agreement.
